Leather Dyeing: When It Is Needed and How We Do It
Leather dyeing restores an even colour and hides defects. Here is when it is needed and how it works with us.
When dyeing is needed
Dyeing solves several tasks at once: refreshing faded or uneven colour, changing the shade, hiding wear and small defects after restoration. Suitable for car interiors, furniture, bags, footwear and jackets.
How we match the colour
We match the shade one to one with the original — or any new shade you want. Exact colour matching is the key stage: it determines whether the result looks natural.
How dyeing works
First the leather is cleaned and degreased and defects are fixed. Then professional Koch Chemie and Colourlock dyes are applied — they penetrate the structure and lay down evenly. Finally the result is locked in with a protective coating.
How long the result lasts
With proper dyeing and care the colour lasts for years and does not crack: the dye is flexible and works together with the leather rather than sitting as a film on top.
